The Way Is Prepared

This past week as I have been reading in my scriptures, I found an amazing scripture. It was 1 Nephi 9:6. It struck me hard. I have been questioning whether the Lord knows my trials or not. I have had friends ask me if the Lord knows their struggles, or not, and if he does, why he's asking so much.

But this scripture opened my eyes. I hadn't really realized or understood this scripture fully. But it just amazed me that the Lord knows everything, and he has prepared the way for us. I know that he loves us all so much, but this scripture just made me feel like I was glowing because I was filled with love and gratitude. I now know that He hath all power to fulfill his words. I know that he knows exactly what we are going through, and has prepared a way for us to find our way out. Recently, I went through a really hard time. I was struggling to want to be around people, because I felt so depressed and I felt like I was weighing everyone around me down.

I quit going to youth activities every week, because I didn't want to have to see very many people, because Satan had been trying to make me think that people were just out to hurt me. I felt so awful all the time, and I found myself asking the Lord every night, how am I supposed to go through this? This is so hard. I didn't get my answer right away, but one of my best friends made sure I didn't let the adversary get to me. But this last week, I got my answer, and I am so happy that I have friends that make me the person I am.

The Lord Knows You

I have come to realize through my trials that the Lord really does know me. Even when no one around me knows what I am truly going through, I can pray and get peace from any trial I have. The Lord knows you and I personally. More personally than I think anyone else on this Earth other than ourselves knows us. And unlike what we think and tell ourselves, "If you knew who I really was, you'd hate me too," The Lord loves us for being us. He will never leave us. He is always there for us, and he has prepared the way for us to return to him. I love in this quote above where it says, "He will uphold you and prepare the way for you." It touches my heart so much to know that such a perfect being is on my side. He is sending angels before me to protect me, and I have grown so much because of these blessings in my life.
